The City of McAllen is proud to host a pep rally and viewing party of Texas-sized proportions, to help cheer on the Little League baseball team from its Sister City of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico who will be playing in the Little League World Series Semi-Final Game.
“We are so proud of this team,” said City of McAllen Mayor Jim Darling. “We are ready to cheer on this team, all the way to the Finals, so we are inviting everyone from McAllen, Reynosa, and throughout the Rio Grande Valley to come cheer on the team to victory.”
To help send Team Mexico, as the team is known in the tournament play, some good vibes, the City of McAllen is throwing open the doors to the McAllen Convention Center for a FREE pep rally and viewing party. Everyone in the family is welcome to attend, wearing red or green, or their cheer outfits, if they wish. Keep all outside food and drinks at home, as delicious McAllen Convention Center Concessions will be available for purchase.
While seating is free, it is on a first come, first serve basis and no reservations will be accepted ahead of time.
