“Outstanding customer service doesn’t go unnoticed with the McAllen Chamber, ” stated Blanca Cardenas, Vice President of Membership Services. “It’s a feeling of great accomplishment when we recognize someone from our community with exceptional talent for customer service. The best part is seeing the reaction on their face; complete utter surprise!”
The objective of the Chamber is to recognize individuals on a monthly basis for providing āexceptional service.ā Too often we tend to remember the bad experiences, but rarely do we acknowledge those who show true habits of good service. Good customer service doesnāt mean doing heroic or difficult things; it is doing the little things ā the ones that leave a memorable impression. The McAllen Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of the service component in any successful conduct of business.
These last few months, the McAllen Chamber Ambassadors had the privilege of recognizing 3 deserving individuals from different business establishments, all of whom are local businesses in McAllen.
The first Customer Service Award went to Mannie Tovar from Legend Transitional Care. Mannie had been nominated by several people from the business community. Mannie strongly believes in getting to know her patients and building a relationship with them. Eventually it will pay off.
Annie PeƱa is not new to customers at BJās Restaurant. “Annie has an unconditional love for her customers,” stated Gloria Doyle. “I nominated her because she is a true example of what remarkable customer service should be. She has a passion for what she does and it tends to rub off on you.”
Lastly, overwhelmed by the recognition from the McAllen Chamber Ambassadors and the support of his colleagues at Taco Palenque on North 10th St., Eduardo āLaloā Juarez was speechless. “I wish there were more individuals like Lalo,ā stated Martha Cipriano, who nominated Mr. Juarez. “We always hear McAllen is known for their great hospitality and outstanding service. This is proof, that it is true.”
