McAllen Fire Department rules fire accidental

(McAllen, TX) The McAllen Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office has completed its fire investigation of the apartment fire that occurred at 2313 West Iris on Friday, July 7, 2017.
The investigation revealed the following:
- The fire originated in the kitchen, near the stove and counter-top adjacent to the stove in an apartment unit.
- There were combustible materials set on the stove and the counter-top.
The fire left 12 apartment units uninhabitable; there was no loss of life associated with the fire.
