Laredo, Texas — On Tuesday, December 7th, Mayor Pete Saenz attended a farewell luncheon for Border Patrol’s Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent, Matthew J. Hudak, as he is moving from Laredo, Texas to serve as Deputy Chief for the U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters in Washington D.C. In fact, Mayor Saenz presented the Key to the City to Chief Hudak for “his outstanding work ethic and protecting our beloved border.”
“I congratulate Chief Matthew Hudak for his many achievements while serving the Laredo sector and being hired as the Deputy Chief for the U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters,” states Mayor Pete Saenz. “Our utmost priority in the border continues to be security, and I am beyond grateful that Chief Hudak has led many efforts to help us fulfill our objective towards a safer Laredo. Despite the many challenges the border continues to face, Chief Hudak is an asset to all and continues to put these hurdles at ease through his hard work and determination.”
Representing the City at the farewell luncheon were Council Member for District 7, Vanessa Perez, Laredo Fire Department Chief, Guillermo Heard, and the Laredo Police Department Chief, Claudio Treviño. The City of Laredo congratulates Chief Hudak on this milestone and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
