Brownsville, TX –– Local Rio Grande Valley (RGV) restaurant, Wing Barn, brings back .50¢ WINGS (bone-in and boneless) all day, everyday in response to the surge of COVID-19.
“We know these are challenging times for our community,” says Bobby Saenz, Brownsville resident and Wing Barn CEO. “It’s also a challenging time for our restaurants. This special is a win-win. It helps us to keep our doors open and it offers families in our community an affordable meal option. It’s a small gesture, but it’s what we can do to help.”
“We are a family business,” said co-owner and head chef, Daniel Pompa. “We see and feel our community suffering and we want to step up for them, and to be honest, we need the community to step up for us, and for all restaurants in the RGV.”
Wing Barn voluntarily closed the dine-in option and now offers takeout, curbside and delivery (via FAVOR). Customers can order online at www.TheWingBarn.com, via phone, and through the Wing Barn APP.
The .50¢ Wing special is for online orders only and must be purchased with large fries.
Wing Barn prides itself on being a local, family-owned and operated restaurant that offers hand made food. Saenz moved to the RGV in 2006 and lives in Brownsville, TX, with his wife and sons. Pompa was born and raised in Brownsville, TX. Together, Saenz and Pompa opened Wing Barn in Brownsville, TX, in 2010.
Since 2010, Wing Barn has opened seven locations across the Rio Grande Valley, including in: Brownsville, Olmito, McAllen, Harlingen and Edinburg. Two more Wing Barn locations are scheduled to open soon, in San Juan, TX and Weslaco, TX.
Earlier in 2020, Wing Barn was recognized as one of the ‘Top 25 Best Wing Restaurants in Texas”. Wing Barn offers over 20 made from scratch chicken wing sauces and rubs.
