Liz Gonzalez returned to the Valley in 1998 after living in Dallas for 13 years where she worked as an in-house graphic designer for several corporations, was a creative director for an advertising agency that specialized in ethnic markets and taught at the Art Institute of Dallas. She was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and is an alumna of UTRGV with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts/advertising design.
In the past 20 years, Liz has learned a great number of things. The first thing she learned is you have to know your target audience – where they live in their hearts. Another lesson she learned early on is that every city in the Valley has its own unique personality, style, and character. No two cities are alike. She has worked with the City of Edinburg, Weslaco, Mercedes, Mission, and Hidalgo. And the ongoing lesson being learned is to remain relevant and educated in the technical world that changes daily.
To celebrate 20 years, Liz has redesigned www.lizgonzalezdesigns.net to capture the celebratory spirit of the time and has used Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” from Scripture.
