The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Leadership Edinburg, a 9-month leadership development program designed to cultivate and connect emerging leaders who are passionate about making a difference in the Edinburg community.
To kick off the application period, the Chamber will host a special recruitment mixer on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, located at 415 W Trenton Rd in Edinburg. Community members interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to attend.
Since its founding in 1988, Leadership Edinburg has provided a transformational experience for local professionals through hands-on learning, leadership training, and issue-based exploration. The program is built to educate participants on key community sectors including healthcare, economic development, public safety, education, and more.
The 2025–2026 program begins with an overnight retreat in September, followed by monthly sessions held every third Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In addition to class sessions, participants will take part in a collaborative community project and are required to attend two local government meetings as part of their civic engagement training.
Applications for the upcoming class are due by Friday, August 8, 2025.
