Law Enforcement Agencies Raise Over Four Thousand Dollars At Border Patrol’s Ninth Annual CFC Chili Cook-Off

EDINBURG, Texas ̶̶  On Friday, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector hosted its ninth annual Chili Cook-Off event.

The event raised more than four thousand dollars for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which promotes and supports philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. This event brought the community, employees and charities together.

A total of 27 teams made up of local, state and federal employees competed during the event.  The team ‘Vaqueros from Brownsville’ from the Office of Field Operation (OFO), Brownsville Port of Entry, took home the championship belt for the best chili.  All proceeds raised during this event will be donated to the winning team’s charity of choice.
