The Pharr City Commission and City Manager Dr. Jonathan B. Flores recognized Laura Saldaña from the Pharr Memorial Library with the inaugural “Trailblazer of the Month” Award, honoring her dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. Library Director Adolfo Garcia introduced Saldaña, praising her as a model employee whose performance consistently reflects the highest standards. “Laura Saldaña meets and exceeds all Pharr Trailblazer principles and traits; we commend you for your top-quality performance and for always going above and beyond,” Garcia said. He added that she was also named Employee of the Month.
Saldaña expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much. I’ve always said I don’t need any recognition for my quality of work, but I truly appreciate this honor and being a part of this team.” Members of the Pharr City Commission, including Commissioner Pacheco, joined in commending Saldaña for her professionalism and service, thanking her for her contributions to the City of Pharr and the community she serves. As the very first recipient of this award, Saldaña has set a high standard for future honorees, embodying the spirit of a true trailblazer.
