A major $77.3 million expansion & modernization of Laredo’s Juarez-Lincoln Bridge FIS will help expedite tens of thousands of passenger buses and millions of vehicles and people that enter the U.S. annually. Congressman Henry Cuellar, Mayor Pete Saenz and a bevy of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials recently inaugurated the newly complete Bridge No. 2 federal inspection facility. The significant federal investment marks the region’s efforts to encourage and cultivate trade and tourism. The project is in addition to the recently completed $35 million renovation at Bridge 1.
