Laredo College President Ricardo J. Solis welcomed members of the Laredo Rotary Charitable Foundation, Inc. to the historic Ft. McIntosh Campus on Wednesday, Feb. 3 for the presentation of a generous $4,000 donation that was matched by LC to total $8,000 in scholarships for qualifying students.
These funds were geared toward assisting students who have exhausted federal aid, demonstrated financial need, are pursuing undergraduate studies or certificate programs at our institution and maintain the required academic standards. Beginning Spring 2021, many students were awarded with this opportunity and funds were distributed for the calendar year.
Among the list of distinguished guests were LC Board Vice President Jorge “JD” Delgado, LC Vice President for Resource Development Nora Garza, LC English Instructor Marissa Guerrero-Longoria, LC Donors Relations & Special Projects Director Sara Alicia Pompa and Laredo Rotary members.
