Recently, Laredo College was fortunate to have received federal funding to provide additional financial assistance to students who suffered economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thousands of students at LC have received the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF II) established by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act since the beginning of May. This week, high school students from Laredo ISD and United ISD who registered for courses in the college dual enrollment program received an $800 grant.
LC President Dr. Ricardo J. Solis, administrators and even parents were thrilled to obtain these funds that are necessary to succeed academically. Our college is very appreciative of this federal assistance to support students at our institution.
