LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents working at Farm to Market Road 1017 Hebbronville checkpoint halted a human smuggling attempt.

On August 10, Border Patrol agents encountered an F-350 truck pulling a flatbed trailer at the primary inspection lane where a Service canine alerted to the vehicle. The F-350 was referred for secondary inspection where agents discovered 24 individuals under the floorboards of the trailer. All 24 individuals were safely removed from the trailer, and along with the driver transported to the Hebbronville station for further investigation.
