ALAMO – PSJA Memorial Early College High School Senior Carolina Lopez, signed a letter of intent today to play soccer for Western Texas College in Snyder during a ceremony held at her school.
“I’m really excited to start a new chapter in my life,” Lopez said during the signing. “These four years have taught me a lot and I’m going to have the opportunity to continue doing it. This is a great opportunity that I will cherish with my team and my coaches.”
During Carolina’s sophomore year she was named the 31-6A 2nd Team All-District Defender and her team’s Most Valuable Player. Her junior year she received All-District Honorable Mention and was part of the All-District Academic Team. She was also honored as her school’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Her senior year she was named 31-5A All-District 1st Team Defensive Player and All-District Academic Team. She was also a participant at the RGVSCO All-Star East vs West game and her team’s MVP. She was a 4-year member of the Varsity team and was her team’s Captain for three years during her tenure at PSJA Memorial.
She will be receiving a Security Certificate from South Texas College before her high school graduation. While at Western Texas she plans to major in Criminal Justice.
