La Plaza mall management, Dillard’s representatives, Mayor Jim Darling and city officials to conduct official ribbon-cutting ceremony on opening day
McAllen, TX, November 9, 2017 — La Plaza is pleased to announce the opening of its second parking deck to Rio Grande Valley shoppers. The state-of-the-art, three-level parking deck is connected to Dillard’s and adjacent to JC Penney, adding 1,260 spaces to the mall just in time for the holiday season.
On Friday, November 10 at 9:30 a.m., La Plaza mall management, representatives of Dillard’s, Mayor Jim Darling and city officials will join to officially open the new Dillard’s parking deck. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on the second level of the deck.
“We are excited to see the parking deck open in advance of the holiday season,” said Roberto Luciano, Mall Manager, La Plaza. “The three-level parking structure will significantly increase the mall’s parking options, allowing our shoppers to have an elevated experience at La Plaza.”
Last holiday season, La Plaza opened Macy’s new two-level parking deck that added 740 spaces to the mall. Together, the parking decks can accommodate approximately 2,000 vehicles. The opening of the Dillard’s parking deck is part of the significant enhancements that are currently taking place at La Plaza.
