McAllen, Texas – Killam Development, a leading South Texas real estate company, announced today that it is sponsoring Teach for America (TFA) as a Blue Ribbon Sponsor. The company’s gift of $2,500 will offset the cost of ongoing professional development and training for a corps member’s two-year commitment.
TFA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for all students in the Rio Grande Valley. The organization is committed to raising expectations, providing additional resources, and increasing educational opportunities for all RGV students.
Killam Development’s sponsorship provides enhanced educational opportunities for over 85 students in RGV classrooms. By supporting TFA’s efforts to recruit talented, equity-oriented educators, the company is helping to advance educational attainment for students and increase their economic mobility.
