Keep McAllen Beautiful (KMB), in collaboration with McAllen Independent School District, has created a Youth Advisory Committee to provide the City of McAllen’s non-profit organization the perspective of young people passionate about McAllen an increasingly attractive city. The committee will serve to emulate Keep McAllen Beautiful and offer youth an opportunity to gain nonprofit experience, as well as knowledge about serving on a board and giving back to the community.  YAC members will serve as liaisons between their schools and KMB.

“KMB, in accordance with our vision statement, ‘Beautiful places for all spaces.’ will work collaboratively with student representatives from McAllen’s high schools to foster this Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) who can help encourage more young people to get involved and help keep McAllen beautiful,” said Chris Lash, manager for Keep McAllen Beautiful.

KMB is proud to announce this year’s YAC members; representing McAllen High school, Darian Solis and Omero Perez; representing Lamar (Memorial), Juan Pablo Manrique; and representing Idea McAllen, Paula Espinoza and Ximena Hasbach.
