It was a fresh of air event that goes very well along the lines of what we report and support. Avon empowers women all over the world to become active in sales promoting very innovative products that appeal to the general consumer.
Flor Violeta is the name of the fragrance which was launched this spring is a vibrant violet blossoms, sparkling apple and dreamy musk. The actress Kate del Castillo appears in its promotional materials and that appealed directly to the Hispanic market.
Avon released a fragrance to be sold throughout the entire United States and gave Avon representatives one month to sell as many as they could. Â The area, or Division that sold the most would be rewarded with a Meet and Greet Celebration and only 3 Divisions in the US would be able to win. Â The Texan Division was one of the three winners. Â Bronx New York and Los Angeles were the other two. The Meet and Greet and celebration took place in Mission at the Cimarron Country Club
Mike Rodriguez is the Texan Division Manager and was very much in charge of this important event where more than 100 Avon leaders were present and representing their districts from all over the U. S.
According to Alma Salinas District sales manager, the fragrance was introduced in March of 2013 as a Mother’s Day Fragrance and it is called Flor Violeta.
For this event, various Avon products, plus autographed photographs and Top Sellers were awarded a complete set of Flor Violeta, which included the fragrance, body lotion, shower gel and purse size rollette and personally autographed for each one of them.
When the Avon leaders asked Kate del Castillo what it represented for her to have a fragrance as Flor Violeta she said, “I have been familiar with Avon products since I was a little girl, my mother used the products.” She continued to say, “I also feel good to know that Avon empowers women and also contributes extensively to noble causes.”
It is important to say that 95 years before the first woman was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court…77 Years before the first woman traveled into space…76 years before the first woman took the reins of a Fortune 500 company…
34 years before women in the U.S. had the right to vote…
17 years before the first woman won the Nobel Prize…

Avon offered women the opportunity to be CEOs of their own businesses and control their economic destinies and this has been for over 125 years of empowering women.
