“Journey Stories,” a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution, will open Feb. 17, 2015 at The University of Texas-Pan American Library and be on display in the Library’s Shary Room through March 27. UTPA is one of only six places in Texas that the exhibit will travel to this year and UTPA was able to schedule it to coincide with the 2015 Festival of International Books and Arts (FESTIBA) March 4-8.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be held Feb. 17 from 4-6 p.m. Hours for the exhibit, which is free and open to the public, are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The exhibit’s theme is immigration, migration, and transportation. It suggests that “everyone has a journey” and asks “what’s yours?” To learn more about what the exhibit is about, you may view a brief video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajGkdarLzjY.
