MISSION, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents working with federal and local law enforcement agencies discovered drugs and a weapon in a human smuggling stash house.
Tuesday afternoon, Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents working in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Hidalgo County Constables Office identified a stash house operating in a Mission, Texas, neighborhood. Inside the residence, agents and deputies discovered more than 80 lbs. of marijuana, a small amount of cocaine and a 9mm firearm. Agents arrested two Mexican nationals who were illegally present in the United States.
Border Patrol turned the case over to Homeland Security Investigations.
