The McAllen Economic Development Corporation, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the City of McAllen are excited to announce the keynote speaker for the 2nd annual MXLAN International Economic Summit: Emmy award-winning journalist and host of What Would You Do? John Quiñones.
The theme for this year’s summit is Technology, Innovation & the Future of Economic Development. A sampling of topics and speakers on the agenda for the day include:

Mr. Quinones’ keynote speech will be an inspiring address on values, leadership, and ethical decision-making in a fast-moving technological world, reflecting on personal stories and challenging attendees to lead with purpose.

John Quiñones brings that perspective to the MXLAN International Economic Summit,” said, Elizabeth Suarez, President and CEO of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and McAllen Economic Development Corporation.
The summit takes place March 6, 2026, at the McAllen Convention Center, on the first day of MXLAN. MXLAN is a three-day event celebrating art, culture, and history in the City of McAllen.
