McALLEN, Texas – The City of McAllen proudly celebrated a historic achievement as John Milton, the internationally acclaimed hypnotist, reached an extraordinary milestone: 300 performances in McAllen. This accomplishment solidified Milton’s status as the longest-running show in the history of the McAllen Performing Arts Center and the City of McAllen.
Known as the “Caballero de la Hipnosis,” Milton’s performances uniquely blended comedy with the transformative power of hypnosis. His shows not only entertained but also profoundly impacted lives, with thousands of testimonials highlighting the life-changing effects of his work.
Previously honored with the Keys to the City on January 5, 2017, John Milton was once again recognized with a prestigious proclamation from the City of McAllen. This honor celebrated his historic milestone and significant contributions to the cultural and social landscape of the region.
“John Milton and his fanbase have been absolutely incredible to watch through the years—the sold-out crowds for his month-long performances are a testament to the quality of John Milton’s work,” said Yajaira Flores, Director of McAllen Convention Center Facilities. “He is truly remarkable.”
As the longest-running residency in McAllen, Milton consistently drew packed houses every night during his January engagements. The 2025 residency continued this tradition, with audiences eagerly returning to experience his captivating performances.
The milestone was marked with a proclamation ceremony on January 2, 2025, at the McAllen Performing Arts Center, honoring John Milton’s unparalleled achievements and ongoing influence in the community.
