The most talked about golf tournament is right around the corner on Friday, October 16th. The annual “Jalapeño Golf Classic” promises to be the best tournament yet. The Jalapeno will consist of Foursome teams and will tee off at 12 noon with registration at 11:00am at the Tierra del Sol in Pharr. The Jalapeño will offer Boxed Lunches at registration and a dinner for the Awards Ceremony. A Top notch golf gift will be given away at the Jalapeño Bowl Guessing Game and 2 Southwest Airline tickets will be raffled off to the lucky person who draws the right number off of the “Century Southwest Chart”. Tickets for the raffle are $25 and is open to the membership and Jalapeño participants.
BBQ taquitos will be served out on the course as well as other snacks and beverages. There will be 4 Hole in One vehicle sponsors. This year participating will be Boggus Ford, Toyota of Pharr, South Texas GMC and Acura. Other contests will be Longest Putt and Closest to the Pin. 1st place team will get $1,000, 2nd place $750 and 3rd place $500. Sponsorships that are still available are: Shirts $5,000; Caps $2,000; Golf Ball $2,000; Goody Bag $2,000; Golf Towel $2,000 and Hole Sponsorships (Con Chile) at $100 each. As always there will be plenty of door prizes.
