McAllen, TX – Telemundo 40 / KTLM announced today that Jairo Gallego has been named as Multimedia Journalist. Gallego’s on-air debut will be in mid-February.

For the past few months, Gallego has worked as a producer and reporter for several Telemundo stations based out in Miami, Florida. Previously, Gallego produced and hosted “Esta Noche con Jairo” in Telemar, Colombia. He was also an announcer for Colombian radio station Caracol 1260 AM in Miami, Florida. Additionally, Gallego was an assistant executive producer for the film company Laberinto Productions in Bogota, Colombia.
Gallego holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Florida International University in Miami, Florida and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia.
