The McAllen Heritage Center (MHC) – Museum of History and Culture’s Board of Directors announced the addition of Irma Murray as their newest board member. Mrs. Murray brings a wealth of expertise and a strong commitment to the community. As a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), she serves as Vice President of the Wealth Management and Trust Department at Rio Bank in McAllen, Texas, with an impressive career spanning 39 years in the banking industry.
A proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, Murray’s dedication to community service is evident through her extensive involvement in various organizations. She currently serves as the Secretary of the McAllen Citizen’s League Board of Directors and is a member of the RGV Partnership Class X. Murray is also the Vice President for the Edinburg Senior League and an active Ambassador for the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. Further demonstrating her commitment to the region’s cultural fabric, she serves as the Chair for the Royal Tea at The Heritage, a benefit event for the McAllen Heritage Center.
The McAllen Heritage Center is the only museum devoted to preserving the history of McAllen. Visitors can explore its galleries at no charge, though donations are always appreciated to help support its mission. The museum is conveniently located at 301 S. Main St. in the historic former U.S. Post Office building, at Main St. and Chicago in downtown McAllen. Free parking is available behind the museum.
