On behalf of Texas Border Business and Mega Doctor News, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Sabrina Walker Hernandez.

Sabrina Walker Hernandez was a respected nonprofit strategist, inspirational speaker, and community leader based in Edinburg, Texas. She passed away in July 2025, a loss that was deeply felt by the organizations and individuals she uplifted.

Sabrina was the President and CEO of Supporting World Hope LLC, a nonprofit consulting firm she founded during her battle with cancer. “The company was born in a hospital bed,” she often shared, illustrating her determination to continue serving even through adversity. Her firm focused on strategic planning, board engagement, and fundraising leadership.

Her career spanned over 25 years of public service. She served on several boards, including the Edinburg Rotary, Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, Museum of South Texas History, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV. She also chaired the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, helping guide civic-minded young leaders within the Edinburg 2040 initiative.

Sabrina’s educational background reflected her commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in the nonprofit sector. She held a Master of Public Administration, earned a Harvard Nonprofit Management Certification, and completed leadership training at Clemson University. As a master trainer with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, she trained over 10,000 nonprofit leaders nationally.

She was also a two-time blood cancer survivor and used her experience to advocate for others. In 2024, she publicly shared her cancer journey through an Op-ed: “The power of resilience is in rising, even when it hurts.” That same year, she raised over $70,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and earned the title “Visionary of the Year.”

In 2023, she was named Edinburg Woman of the Year, a recognition of her achievements in leadership, fundraising, and youth advocacy.

Her passing prompted tributes from numerous institutions, including the City of Edinburg, which described her as “a vibrant champion of civic engagement and youth leadership.” The Museum of South Texas History and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV each issued statements honoring her lasting contributions.

Sabrina’s public talks and leadership workshops were highly sought after. She presented keynotes and webinars, including “Keys to Nonprofit Storytelling” and “5 Moves to Master Strategic Leadership.” Her podcast appearance on Mission: Impact captured her strategic thinking on philanthropy.

Recent engagements included her participation in the Build: A Thriving Nonprofit Summit (November 2024) and the Health Equity Conference hosted by WGU, where she led board development sessions.

Through her firm, Supporting World Hope, Sabrina provided access to coaching, board-training resources, and workshops for emerging and established nonprofits. Her influence extended from Edinburg to national stages, yet she remained committed to local causes and mentorship.

Her YouTube appearances, such as “Sabrina Walker Hernandez speaks on National Myeloma Awareness Month” and “A Conversation with Sabrina Walker Hernandez,” continue to serve as educational and inspirational resources. Her leadership remains accessible through her website, supportingworldhope.com, which offers blogs, recorded seminars, and practical toolkits.

In her op-ed, she wrote: “Resilience is not about bouncing back—it’s about pushing forward with purpose.” This sentiment embodies the life and legacy of Sabrina Walker Hernandez.

From boardrooms to classrooms, community centers to conference halls, her voice carried hope, strategy, and vision. She will be remembered not only for her achievements but for how she made others feel seen, heard, and empowered.

Her memory lives on through the missions she believed in and the leaders she inspired, RIP.
