SAN BENITO, Texas – Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month is a timely opportunity to spotlight how hands-on STEM programs are preparing Rio Grande Valley students for high-demand careers in engineering and technology.

At IDEA San Benito College Prep, that preparation has already taken students to the world stage. Last year, the IDEA San Benito Robotics Team competed at the VEX V5 Robotics World Championship, representing the Rio Grande Valley alongside more than 800 high school teams from across the globe.

This year, IDEA San Benito’s Robotics Team is already preparing to compete on March 7 at the Region One Championship in Edinburg, with the opportunity to advance to the world stage. In the program, students design, build, and code competition robots from scratch.
