PHARR, Texas— For 14 years, IDEA Pharr Academy and College Preparatory had hosted its annual “Holiday Angels” initiative to ensure every student experienced the joy, warmth, and generosity of the holiday season. What began as a campus staff-led effort grew into a meaningful tradition that brought teachers, staff, board members, and community partners together to support students and families.

This year, IDEA Pharr’s Holiday Angels program continued to expand thanks to the generosity of Valiant Energy Sources, which donated 100 gifts, and Sustaita Forwarding, which contributed 30 gifts. IDEA Pharr teachers and staff provided an additional 80 gifts selected specifically for students based on their interests and wish lists.
“We believed every child deserved to feel seen, valued, and celebrated—especially during the holidays,” said Jill Dominguez, RGV superintendent. “Holiday Angels was about more than gifts; it was about showing our students that they were surrounded by a community that cared deeply about them.”
The Holiday Angels gift distribution brought together donors, staff, and board members for a festive and heartwarming celebration, creating joyful memories for students across the campus.
