IBC Bank-Brownsville Promotes Celvera to Vice President and Benavidez to Assistant Vice President

Brownsville, Texas – IBC Bank-Brownsville is proud to announce the promotions of Claudia Vianney Celvera and Leticia Esther Benavidez, who are both Area Sales Managers serving IBC’s 12 branch locations in Cameron County. Both Celvera and Benavidez are experienced bankers who lead the bank’s service and growth initiatives.

Their leadership and dedication to IBC’s “We Do More” philosophy continues to impress us,” said Al Villarreal, IBC Bank-Brownsville CEO and President. “Their commitment to adding value for our customers is what makes them unique and a great asset to the bank.”

Celvera joined IBC Bank in 1999 as an accounting clerk. She worked her way up through the ranks and advanced to assistant vice president and now to vice president. In addition, Celvera has proudly spent years working on development efforts in the Brownsville community. She has attended and graduated from several leadership programs, including Leadership Brownsville, and has served as a board member of the Brownsville Jaycees. She currently participates in Financial Literacy Education initiatives with IBC Bank. Outside of the bank, Celvera enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Roberto Celvera, and their two children, Keyla and Camila.

Benavidez joined IBC Bank in 2004 as a teller. Through her hard work and commitment to the bank, she quickly worked her way up to Assistant Vice President.  She currently serves as a youth leader at Ministerio Un Ejercito Para Cristo (MUEPC) and sits on the financial committee board for MUEPC. Benavidez is married to Roel Benavidez Jr. and has two children, Joy and Roel.
