Austin, Texas – IBC Bank-Austin is proud to announce the appointment of Alan Topfer and Vijay Patel to their board of directors.
Alan is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Castletop Capital, an investment and management firm active in real estate development and other investments in central Texas. Alan also serves as Vice President and Treasurer of the Topfer Family Foundation, which donates money to various non-profit organizations in central Texas. He graduated with a BBA in Accounting from the University of Miami.
“I am honored to serve on the IBC Bank-Austin board of directors,” said Alan. “I have always been drawn to serving the community. I am looking forward to working with the other board members and supporting the bank’s initiatives.”
Vijay is the owner of several hotels in central Texas. He built his first hotel in Lakeway nearly 10 years ago and now has five hotels in the Austin area, with plans for additional expansion in the near future. Vijay currently serves on the public affairs committee for Austin Hotel & Lodging Association. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA in Finance and International Management at the University of Texas at Dallas.
“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to be part of the board of directors at IBC Bank-Austin,” Vijay said. “I have admired IBC Bank for many years and believe in their commitment to “Do More” for the communities in which they serve. I look forward to working with the team to continue to advance the bank’s growth.”
IBC Bank-Austin President & CEO Bob Barnes said the experience and wisdom both Alan and Vijay will bring to the board is sure to greatly benefit the bank and the Austin community in the years to come.
