With profound sadness, the community mourns the passing of Dr. Humberto de Faria Santos, Clinical Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen.
Dr. Santos was widely respected as a devoted educator and mentor whose genuine care for students defined his work. Known for his kindness, encouragement, and solid commitment to service, he played a meaningful role in shaping the academic and personal journeys of countless students. His presence on campus extended beyond the classroom, fostering a culture of support, integrity, and Aggie spirit.
Colleagues remember him as a compassionate professional dedicated to excellence in higher education. Students recall his guidance, patience, and belief in their potential—qualities that left a lasting impression on many lives.
