EDINBURG, Texas – The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library—teaming up with The Friends of the Edinburg Public Library—invites families, teens, and community members of every age to join the 2025 Holly Jolly Winter Celebration. This free and festive family event will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library, located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.
The 2025 Holly Jolly Winter Celebration will feature an evening filled with holiday crafts, themed games, photo opportunities, and delightful surprises, all designed to bring joy to attendees of all ages. All activities are free and open to the public, continuing a cherished seasonal tradition for the community.
Guests will begin their visit at the Welcome Station, where they will receive a Check-In Ticket. As they move through the event, they may collect stamps from participating activity stations. After receiving ten stamps, both children and adults can redeem a free book to take home, supporting the library’s ongoing mission to promote reading and lifelong learning. The South Texas Literacy Coalition generously donated the books.
“Winter Fest continues to be one of our most joyful traditions,” said Library & Cultural Arts Director Letty Leija. “It brings families together, sparks creativity, and celebrates the magic of reading all season long.”
