EDINBURG, Texas – Hidalgo County will celebrate National Adoption Day during a special court proceeding on Friday, November 22, 2024, when 430th Court State District Judge Israel Ramon, Jr. and Associate Judge Carlos Villalon, Jr., who heads the Child Protection Court of the Rio Grande Valley West, will preside over the formal adoption of seven different families.
The media is invited to this special event, which begins at 9 a.m. inside the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court chambers, one day before National Adoption Day.
“What we will witness is a true expression of love,” said Judge Ramon.
“This is one of my favorite duties,” said Judge Villalon. “Seven loving families will mark a special day in which they legally welcome new children into their lives.”
