EDINBURG – Hidalgo County offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in observance of the Christmas holiday.
County offices were originally scheduled to remain open on Christmas Eve. However, after reviewing operational needs, and continuity of operations related to the Christmas holiday, county leadership determined that closing county offices would be in the best interest of both employees and residents.
All county offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 29, as previously planned.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for any services or business that may be impacted by the closure. Essential public safety services will continue to operate as normal.
Hidalgo County appreciates the public’s understanding and wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
