EDINBURG – To better serve our constituents, Hidalgo County has revamped its coronavirus webpage by adding a new COVID-19 dashboard. Updated every four hours, the dashboard provides residents with detailed information on daily case counts, testing statistics, hospitalizations and city statistics presented in a crisp, clean format.

The dashboard was created by the Information Technology department who receives the data on a daily basis from the Health & Human Services Department.

“Many of our constituents have been asking for more data and analysis during the pandemic,” said Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez. “This new dashboard will provide them with a wide range of numbers and statistics in an easy to view format.”

Using color coded graphs and charts, the dashboard is a quick, informative overview of the COVID-19 statistics that our county has endured since the start of the pandemic in March.

“Residents can get a visual understanding of the impact the virus has had on our community,” said Information Technology Director Daniel Salinas. “They can trace the outbreak from the beginning to the present and see its evolution.”
