Hidalgo County and Donna Independent School District to host COVID-19 Community 2nd Dose Vaccine Clinic

DONNA – Hidalgo County health officials, in conjunction with Donna ISD, will be hosting 2nd dose COVID-19 community vaccine clinic on Friday, March 12, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said.

The 2nd dose is only for those people who received a first dose of the vaccine at the following date and location:

·         Feb. 12 at Donna High School

If you did not receive your first dose of the Moderna vaccine at Donna High School on Feb. 12, you will not be given a second dose.

Hidalgo County Health and Human Services will begin administering the 2nd dose vaccines on March 12 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Bennie LaPrade Stadium located at 2302 Wood Ave. in Donna. The entrance to the screening site will be at the intersection of Victoria Rd. and Wood Ave.

All residents who are eligible for their 2nd dose COVID-19 vaccination should bring their ID and vaccination cards issued on Feb. 12. Residents are asked to arrive at the time indicated on their wristbands. If you forgot your appointment time, arrive at the approximate time you received your 1st dose. If you lost your vaccination card, your name must be in the registration system to receive a 2nd dose.
