Edinburg, Texas – UTRGV Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 6, will participate in the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) and Keep Texas Beautiful “Weekend without Waste” campaign, with recycling teams stationed at the UTRGV Edinburg Campus.

“Weekend without Waste” is part of the Coca-Cola Company’s “World without Waste” initiative to collect and recycle the equivalent of every bottle or can it sells globally by 2030.

The company, and bottling partners like Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, are tackling the collection goal through a renewed focus on the entire packaging lifecycle – from how bottles and cans are designed and made, to how they are recycled and repurposed.
