EDINBURG – Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Commissioner Ellie Torres and the Texas General Land Office (GLO) will be hosting a presentation for the Homeowner Assistance and Reimbursement Program (HARP) on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Endowment Center located at 107 N. Sunflower Road in Edinburg.

The HARP Program, administered by the Texas GLO, is a new reimbursement and repair assistance program for residents of Hidalgo, Cameron, Jim Wells and Willacy Counties who were affected by the 2018 and 2019 rainstorms. It is a combined grant program to help reimburse for expenses related to repairs of a home, assist with funding repairs that are needed or the rebuilding a home.

People who wish to apply for the program can learn how to qualify by attending the event. Representatives from the Texas General Land Office will be present to provide information, answer questions and provide step-by-step application guidance.
