PHARR, TX – The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley has received a generous donation of $25,000 from H-E-B to help support the food bank as they continue feed families affected by Covid-19.  The growing demand for services continues as many families are still feeling the effects of the health and financial crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This crucial funding will enable the food bank to secure additional cold storage and support operations, providing much needed meals for the community. H-E-B has provided even more support than ever before during the past year and has held a variety of campaigns over the years that have generously supported the hunger relief efforts of Food Bank RGV.

“H-E-B has a storied history of partnering with the Food Bank RGV to serve the community. We’re thankful for this generous gift from H-E-B that will allow the food bank to feed our neighbors in need,” Libby Salinas, CEO of the Food Bank RGV, said.
