ROMA, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector continue to encounter large groups crossing the Rio Grande.
Late Friday night, Rio Grande City agents responded to a report of a large group of people who crossed the Rio Grande near Roma, Texas. Upon arrival to the area, agents encountered a group of 135 illegal aliens, comprised of family units and unaccompanied children.
Over the past three days, Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended over 2,500 individual classified as family units and more than 300 unaccompanied children.
Border Patrol is processing the subjects accordingly.
