The City of McAllen officially broke ground on the Quince Avenue and 27th St. Drainage Improvement Project, which will serve an area of approximately 38 acres, bounded by Tamarack Avenue to the north, Quince Avenue to the south, 27th St. to the west, and 24th St. to the east. The area covered encompasses three small subdivisions and the proposed drainage improvements will increase the surface water run-off collection, reducing stagnation and ponding of surface water in the streets.
