AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Stephanie Bascon as Judge of the 466th Judicial District Court in Comal County, effective January 1, 2021, for a term set to expire on December 31, 2022, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Stephanie Bascon of New Braunfels is an attorney in private practice and an Associate Municipal Court Judge for the City of New Braunfels and a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Bulverde. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a member and former president, vice president, and secretary of the Comal County Bar Association. She is a board member of the McKenna Foundation, a member of Rotary International, and a mentor for Communities in School and the THRU Project. Additionally, she is the founder and president of The Constitutionalist Foundation, Inc. and president of the University of Dallas National Alumni Board. Bascon received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy from the University of Dallas and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
