The Texas Association of Business (TAB) — the state’s leading business-advocacy group — announced on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, that Glenn Hamer has resigned as its President & CEO. In a statement issued by TAB Chairman Bill Jones, the organization said: “As of today, Glenn Hamer resigned as President & CEO of the Texas Association of Business (TAB), and the officers of TAB have accepted his resignation. Megan Mauro will continue serving as the Interim President & CEO.”
Hamer had served as TAB’s top executive since early 2021. At the time, media reports stated that he left the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry after 14 years to take the helm at TAB.
The TAB describes itself as “the Texas State Chamber, representing companies of every size and industry.” Its mission is to support and advance a favorable business climate across Texas.
As TAB’s new interim leader, Megan Mauro — formerly vice president and chief of staff — will oversee the organization until a permanent successor is named. The board’s acceptance of Hamer’s resignation was effective immediately, per its statement.
