GBIC Awards $264,500 Incentive to First National Bank Texas for Creating 103 Jobs in Their First Year

BROWNSVILLE, TX (July 17, 2024) – The Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation (GBIC) is proud to announce the presentation of a $264,500 check to First National Bank Texas. This incentive recognizes the bank’s outstanding achievement in creating 103 new jobs within its first year in Brownsville as part of its performance agreement with GBIC.

First National Bank Texas has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the Brownsville community by creating new jobs and providing comprehensive training to each new employee, thereby contributing to the economic growth and vitality of the region. These actions mark the successful completion of the bank’s first year of the performance agreement with GBIC.

“It is my pleasure to present this $264,500 check to First National Bank Texas. They have earned this incentive by creating 103 new jobs and providing extensive training to each employee,” commented Jovanna Rangel, Director of Business Retention & Expansion and Workforce Development at GBIC. ”These incentives are designed to support companies that invest in our community and contribute to job creation and economic growth.
