For the 3rd year in a row, Futuro RGV is launching its $1,000 Emerging Leaders Scholarship for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from the Rio Grande Valley.
As a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Rio Grande Valley, Futuro RGV aims to empower changemakers. The Emerging Leaders Scholarship is an initiative designed to award an emerging leader with a record of service who is pursuing a higher education.
Applicants must be enrolled in a 2-year college part-time or full-time, a 4-year college full-time, or a graduate/professional degree program full-time. They must have a minimum 2.7 college GPA and at least 12 college credit hours, which can include dual enrollment courses as well as Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate credits.
Applicants must also be U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, or DACA recipients who have a permanent address in the Rio Grande Valley. The deadline to apply is Monday, July 29th before midnight. Finalists will be contacted for an interview.
