FREE Medical Services including Dental to start next week at PSJA High School

SAN JUAN – PSJA High School will host Operation Lone Star (OLS) starting next week from July 29 – August 2, providing free medical services including dental and vision to the Hidalgo County community. This collaborative project is in its 15th year of existence and unites federal, state and local health and human service agencies, US and Texas Military Forces, local service groups and volunteers to provide the largest public health humanitarian effort in the country.
Operation Lone Star is a full emergency response exercise that provides disaster recovery training to many while serving thousands of underserved and underinsured residents in a real-life, real-time crisis scenario.
The following services will be provided for free and for all ages at the PSJA High School site:
(805 W. Ridge Rd. in San Juan)
*Dental Services
*Immunizations
*Sports Physicals
*Medical Exams/Screenings
*Hearing and Vision Screenings (including glasses)
*Mental Health Services
*Diabetes Screening
Hidalgo County will have a second site at Palmview High School (3901 N. La Homa Rd. in Mission) with all the same services except Dental and Vision.
Other sites throughout the Rio Grande Valley include: Brownsville, Rio Grande City and Laredo.
The PSJA High School site will be opened from Monday July 29 to Thursday August 1 from 8 am to 4 pm and Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.
