PHARR, Texas – Five Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District (PSJA ISD) high schools have been recognized among the best in Texas & the Nation, according to the 2025 US News & World Report rankings, out of nearly 18,000 high schools evaluated across the country.
The annual U.S. News & World Report Rankings evaluate high schools based on performance on state assessments, graduation rates, and preparation for college through participation in rigorous coursework such as Advanced Placement (AP) and dual enrollment programs.
Through PSJA ISD’s Nationally Recognized Early College Program, students have the opportunity to graduate with up to 60 college credit hours or an Associate Degree from higher education partners South Texas College before earning their high school diploma, helping prepare students for success at the university level and beyond.
The 2025 rankings in Texas for PSJA ISD high schools are as follows:
- PSJA T. Jefferson T-STEM Early College High School
- 116 in the State
- PSJA Early College High School
- 438 in the State
- PSJA North Early College High School
- 570 in the State
- PSJA Southwest Early College High School
- 706 in the State
- PSJA Memorial Early College High School
- 734 in the State
In addition, PSJA T. Jefferson T-STEM Early College High School ranked in the top 10% of all high schools in the State of Texas, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The school provides students with advanced opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), ensuring that every student has access to rigorous coursework, hands-on experiences, and pathways that prepare them for high-demand careers and postsecondary success.
