McALLEN, Texas – Employees with Lone Star National Banking Centers across south Texas spent the last few weeks collecting water, paper goods and other non-perishable items for the annual “Fill the Bag with Blessings” drive for the Comfort House.
As South Texas’ trusted financial partner for over 40 years, we believe in giving back to our communities. The items collected were delivered to the Comfort House earlier today. “We will continue to play a pivotal role in assisting agencies whose mission is devoted to helping and caring for those in need. Keeping our neighborhoods productive, safe, and healthy is a priority for our workforce and their willingness to give of themselves never ceases to amaze me and demonstrates great character,” said Lone Star National Bank President, S. David Deanda, Jr.
Lone Star National Bank contributes to charities throughout the Rio Grande Valley and has proudly contributed to assist the Comfort House for more than 15 years. The Comfort House is a free, short-term facility for patients in their terminal stages of illness who have four (4) months or less of life.
