Pharr, TX – The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley in partnership with Walmart and the Collaborative for Fresh Produce (CFP) will host a food distribution for 1,000 Vanguard Academy Charter School students and their families to fight summer hunger.
Distribution will follow the Food Bank RGV’s mobile drive through model with little or no contact. Staff, school officials, and members of the Texas Army National Guard will assist with distribution. Fresh produce, shelf-stable bags of food, and cereal will be placed into the vehicle trunks of participants.
This one-day only mobile food distribution will take at the Vanguard Remembrandt Secondary School on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 7am to 10am or until capacity is reached.
