Felida was selected for her role in guiding a nonprofit organization that has served the community since 1995. According to her remarks at the event, VIDA has spent 30 years “empowering students to pursue careers that are in high demand,” with the goal of helping them secure better jobs and improve their quality of life.

She outlined the organization’s support system, which includes financial assistance for tuition and academic expenses, as well as help with childcare and transportation. VIDA also provides workshops focused on leadership and communication to help participants overcome challenges and complete their training.

Felida said the organization’s work is designed to benefit not only individual students but also their families. “We strive to help them navigate any obstacles… ensuring their success in their chosen careers,” she stated.

Her recognition reflects sustained efforts to connect education with workforce needs and to remove barriers for students seeking career advancement in the region.
